Barack Obama in a speech to the nations largest group of gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgendered said he intended on repealing the military “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy. He could have done it on the limo ride over but must have forgot the executive order form book.
Forty thousand troops have finally been ordered for the surge…. against Fox news. A much touted Obama administration scientist that has declared global warming as the worlds greatest threat was embarrassed this week when a video surfaced from 1978 where he predicted the earth would soon be in an ice age.
We learned that owning a pet dog or cat was just as bad for the enviorment as driving a SUV. Who would have known that dog murderer Michael Vick was just trying to save the planet.
The anti-incumbent wave has already taken its first victims. While political observers are focused on the outcome of the Nov. 3 gubernatorial elections in Virginia and New Jersey for early insights into the 2010 midterms, it’s in City Hall where the most ominous trend is emerging. Many incumbent mayors have already lost their races.
FORTUNE Magazine has announced its plans to cut back from the normal 25 issues down to 18 this year. Staff cuts are also in progress.
Rumors are also circulating of plans for a name change of the FORTUNE 500 on the New York Stock Exchange to the MISFORTUNE 500.
