July 2009 may be remembered as the month Barack Obama fell from the grace of the American public.
The poll numbers continue to fall as public support for his program initiatives evaporates. Congressmen are rushing to distance themselves from the once popular healthcare “reform” as new information comes out to the massive cost and the limited care for the elderly. Seems Americans do not look at their grandparents as “shovel-ready projects.”
Obama, after a disastrous press conference designed to shore up support for the government controlling your lives from the cradle to the grave, got even more bad news in the Sunday polling data….
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 29% of the nation’s voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -11. That’s the first time his ratings have reached double digits in negative territory. The public reaction to Obama following his much-touted healthcare news conference on Wednesday night showed a full 5 percent rise in the “strongly disapprove” category of the poll.
The number who Strongly Approve of the President has remained unchanged since the press conference but the number who Strongly Disapprove has gone up by five percentage points (from 35% on Wednesday morning to 40% today).
Adding to this fall undoubtedly was Obama’s response to the question of the Gates fiasco. Barack gave an answer that was based on race over reason when he said he was friends with the angry black activist Henry Louis Gates and said the squeaky-clean, hero white Cop Sgt. James Crowley had acted “stupidly” when arresting the loud mouth, cursing Gates for disorderly conduct.
Using the Gates scenario to bring up a conversation on racial profiling when the situation had nothing to do with profiling was seen as a slap in the face to the segment of the electorate that voted for him mostly to prove they were not racist.
Obama continues on his downward spiral in public approval, and a large percentage of those who oppose his program initiatives do so “very strongly.” A consensus is emerging in America that Obama is pushing programs that are disastrous for the economy, are costing Americans their jobs and livelihood and out of touch with the wishes of the biggest portion of the citizens that do not want to live on the government till.
Everyday that passes Americans in increasing numbers wake up to the fact that our country is headed in the wrong direction and that Obama and the Democratic leadership in Congress are leading the country to bankruptcy.
The elections of 2010 and 2012 are rapidly approaching and there is a growing “throw the traitors out” mentality. It wouldn’t surprise me if its the biggest turnover of the ruling class elitists that we have ever seen in our lifetime.
Supporters of Barack Obama’s “spread the wealth” policies are now being seen as lazy, selfish individuals that want freedom from the responsibility of working and taking care of themselves.
Plummeting poll numbers represent a tsunami forming on the horizon for King Obama and the anti-capitalist Democrats on the hill.
